Feng Shui Door Color: The Importance Of Your Front / Front Door Including Red Door Feng Shui Tips

Here are my top ten tips to improve the flow of chi to the front door or entrance of your home:

1. Keep the front door or entrance clear of obstacles such as garbage bags, trees, and things that children play with. Being the source of chi, you don’t want to block the entry of life energy into the home.

2.Once inside, don’t block the hallway with numerous sneakers, coats, shoes, bikes, and bags. Although it is a good idea to remove your shoes when entering a home to ensure cleanliness, you will also want to store them in a space designed specifically for them. Storing your shoes also ensures that you will keep the energy of the outside world separate from the inner world of your home.

3. Make sure to use your front door. Sometimes it is tempting to use a garage or side door depending on where you park your car. This means that all that positive chi that is waiting to enter your home has nowhere to go; it is wasted chi and therefore represents wasted opportunities. So get in the habit of using your front door as the main entry point into your home.

Four.Make sure your front door opens easily and fully. Doors that are shaken or glued to an interior mat will minimize the flow of chi. Similarly, fix all sticking locks and hinges. If you find it difficult to open your front door, you may encounter difficulties on your life’s journey and miss out on vital opportunities.

5.Make sure your front door is clearly visible, especially if it is on the side of the house. If visitors are unsure which front door to call

You can prevent new opportunities from coming your way. You can clearly demarcate the space around the front door with bushes, trim, lighting (preferably illuminators), and paint. Demarcation symbols will also enhance your sense of protection.

6. Install bright lights on both sides of the driveway to raise the driveway energy with positive yang energy. You can also use lighting

to lift the chi inside the front door so guests feel encouraged as they enter your space.

7.Make sure you have a solid brass knocker so you can literally understand where you are going in life. Brass fixtures and fittings should always be kept polished to prevent negative chi from entering the home.

8.Make sure your mail or mailbox is in good condition. Your PO Box represents your contact with the outside world. Any problem with your mailbox can prevent opportunities from being presented to you. The same goes for the doorbell, which should be working at all times.

9. Discolored or peeling paint is an indication of depleted chi, so if your front door looks a bit sad, give it a fresh coat of paint. Above all, make sure that dirt, traffic grime, and bird droppings do not accumulate outside.

10. A curving path to the front door is preferable to a straight path, as the chi has the opportunity to meander with the curves (symbolic that you go with the flow). Straight lines accelerate the flow of chi and can often dominate the entrance to your home.

One way to overcome this is to place an exterior low mirror (with trigram markings on the exterior) on your door to deflect chi. If this doesn’t appeal to you, a shiny brass knocker will serve the same purpose.

You can also hang a wind chime next to the front door to reduce the flow of chi (a five-cylinder chime is best). Again, placing shrubs and potted plants around the front door will stop the rapid flow of chi. However, bushes and shrubs should not be allowed to overgrow on the sides of the roads.

The address of the front door is important!

In Feng Shui, the direction of the front door is of vital importance. Like the “mouth of chi,” the direction of the front door indicates what kind of energy is prevalent or at stake in the home.

For example, if you have a north-facing front door, you will want to take into account area 1 of the ba gua in the house and all the related issues. It may be that a person with a north-facing front door has career-related issues or is highly independent and finds it difficult to maintain a long-term relationship.

When determining the direction of the front door, stand inside the front door with your back to the hallway or inside your home and look directly through the front door. Never take the direction of the front door while standing directly in front of it looking into the house.

There are certain colors and materials that best suit the direction of each front door (and the ba gua area). By choosing the right color and item, you will support and nurture the chi that enters your home. Here are some guidelines to follow:

North facing door (1 base area): blue, black, white, wood

Northeast facing door (8 ba gua areas): orange, purple, yellow, terracotta

East facing door (3 ba gua areas): green, blue, turquoise, wood

Southeast facing door (4 ba gua areas): green, turquoise, blue, wood

South facing door (9 ba gua areas): red, pink, purple, wood

Southwest facing door (2 ba gua areas): pink, peach, apricot, orange, yellow

West facing door (7 ba gua areas): yellow, white, gold, magenta, silver

Northwest facing door (7 ba gua areas): magenta, gold, silver, white, yellow

When I was first introduced to Feng Shui, I really didn’t want to paint my door bright yellow (it had a front door facing NE). However, I decided to do it and it was surprising how many people commented on the joy of my front door and how much they liked it. So give it a try and see if it has a positive impact.
