Improve your golf score

To quickly lower the scores you post, I suggest you first improve your thinking, both while practicing and playing.

Improve your thinking in your practice by getting a better concept of what you want your body to do when you hit the ball. Improve your game by practicing scoring shots from 50 yards while training your body to hit these easy shots with greater perfection.

Improve your thinking on the golf course by being realistic in your shot planning so that every shot you play is easily within your capabilities. Maybe this means not hitting a driver where there’s even a slim chance that it would get you into the kind of trouble you couldn’t easily get out of. Perhaps going down to a fairway wood could still get you in the same trouble? In that case, why not hit the club that you’re absolutely positively sure won’t get you into trouble? Why not use the same thought pattern on your approach shots, play safe and predictable shots, and lower your scores by thinking like a chess player?

You might be surprised to find that the 2 5 irons will get you within 50 yards of most in 4 seconds and perhaps to the greens of the shortest. If you study my short game ezine articles and use short game actions to program your full swing, you’ll be surprised how well you can hit it from 50 yards out.

Perhaps stopping near the green and chipping when you would have to hit the ball very well to stay clear of a threatening lake or bunker. If you shoot and shoot as well as I want, you still have a good chance of getting a par or even a birdie.

Thinking is the key to this game, improve your thinking and you will improve your game.
