An essential WoW Hunter macro for PvP and PvE

Are you aware of the fact that it is impossible to play a hunter to its full potential without macros? Of course, not all WoW hunter macros are required for that, depending on what specialization you play.

However, there are hunter macros, which are a must for any of the current hunter specs. In this report, I am going to talk about the most important of them.

Before that though, I want to show you some general types of macros that any hunter should use.

General types of macros for hunters

1. The “/use” macros, which are designed to trigger certain cooldowns. In a type of macro like this, you can combine your Rapid Fire, trinket, Berserking (if you’re a troll), to create a burst of damage. Also, many hunters use a macro like this to deploy their parachute and disengage, in order to jump a longer distance from their attacker, in a battle situation.

2. The “/castsequence” macros, which are generally used for PvE rotation. By designing a suitable macro for your main rotation skills, you will never be out of focus.

And now, the macro I wanted to talk about.

The Trap Launcher macro

Not many hunters use this important WoW hunter macro. By using one for each trap you have, you’ll not only save quickbar slots for other abilities, but you’ll also greatly simplify your hunter game.

This macro is very simple to write. Does it look like this:

/cast Trap Launcher

/cast Freezing Trap

Of course, you can replace the freeze trap with whatever other trap you have and need to use, depending on the situation.

With this WoW hunter macro, you’ll be able to quickly freeze an opponent in battlegrounds or arenas, without wasting any clicks. Or, in PvE, you’ll be able to quickly throw your booby trap in the middle of the mobs the tank has attracted, for an extra AoE. In fact, few hunters even use the booby trap, because they are too lazy and then complain that their DPS sucks.

Important:

This is just a useful WoW hunter macro. In fact, it will help you improve your game. However, there is a “GOAL”. To wring every ounce of effectiveness out of your hunter in both arena and PvE, you need a balanced keybinding and more than one macro.

It takes time to tune a keybind for any class, you’ve probably noticed. And most great macros require quite a bit of programming skills.

That’s why I took a shortcut for this. I’ve been using a great WoW plugin with a database that contains all the keybindings and macros that players use. Do you realize how much time I saved? That’s why I want to recommend a plugin like this to any gamer who has a hard time creating super effective keybinding, with the best macros. It’s just amazing!
