Multi-level marketing or network marketing; As the name of the industry implies, the marketing strategy is using multiple levels of people or member networks to move its products and / or services. This has created a misperception and misunderstanding for many new members that they need to massively recruit as many new recruits as possible in the beginning so that they can have the power of the masses. By their ignorant act, they had actually created a wrong impression and understood the MLM industry and network marketing for the general public. Many people now regard those pushy MLM members as a nuisance and shy away from any network marketing opportunities.

Successful leaders in MLM or Network Marketing follow a proven, systematic approach to recruiting and building their group. They understand how the power of networks works and how the multiplication effect works. The power is not on the front line, but on many levels ahead, just to produce a Superstar. That said, they all started out on an equal footing by recruiting new members for their front lines. Therefore, prospecting and recruiting are two of the most important skills any new member must learn in order to survive in the MLM or network marketing industry.

Too many new members, who started out with great enthusiasm, high anticipation, and explosive confidence after their leader’s motivational talk, always go after the high hitter with other companies or opportunities. They believe that with their new payment plan, new products, and proprietary systems, these leaders would surely jump on the bandwagon, see the opportunity they saw, and then start counting their chicken before they even saw their eggs. If life is that simple, the world would be populated by all the MLM members and who is left to mow the lawn.

There is a saying about networking: “Whoever you want to meet is only six contacts away.” However, it may not be exactly true, but it demonstrates the power of networking.

The secret to building a successful long-term MLM home business is not recruiting a heavy hitter as your front line; is finding and developing your future leaders who will build a long-term business with you. All marketers knew that to be successful in building your market share, you need an endless list of clients. Where the hell do you find this list? In internet marketing, many turn to the spam list in the hopes that they will get one or two of the best and live happily ever after. Just don’t do it and my advice is don’t do it.

“Who are the ten people you will invite if you have 10 FREE ocean cruise tickets all expenses paid?”

“Who will you invite / invite to your wedding reception?” etc,

The questions asked should bring out the list of friends and acquaintances with whom you have communicated the most over the years. The idea is to get a more responsive list of prospects rather than suspects from your new business venture. Some leaders will ask their new recruits to review the alumni list or the old union membership list. Although this can be effective in getting the list out, the success rate may not be high. How would you feel when a former colleague of yours who had never met for twenty years, showed up at your door presenting an opportunity? If you’re comfortable, the alumni list may be a good try for you.

Getting a warmer list of prospects is an important first step in building a successful network marketing or MLM business. Many new recruits fail to build their MLM business mainly contributed to the rejection of their suspects and felt that the opportunity is not good enough to move on, not realizing that it is their approach that is failing them.

Starting with a more responsive warm list will increase your recruiting chances to build your MLM or network marketing home business. Get your prospect list instead of the suspect list; You will be surprised how responsive most people are to generating additional income.
