When sharing, Hoseah Wu mentioned a book about T Austin Sparks. The book is called Shaped by Vision, which means that Brother Sparks was a man shaped by vision.

Hoseah Wu began with the family history of brother Sparks. Brother Sparks puts the Lord in his youth. Immediately after his conversion, he was zealous to preach the gospel and seek the Lord Jesus Christ. Later, he showed a gift of preaching and became a pastor of a church. He also became a co-worker with G. Campbell Morgan, who was hailed as the Prince of Expositors and Mrs. Jessie Penn Lewis.

When he was pastor of Honor Oak Baptist Church in Great Britain, God enlightened him and he saw God’s eternal purpose. Once he saw that, the direction of his life and ministry changed greatly. Seeing the light of truth, he could no longer serve in the Baptist Church. He resigned his pastorate and met at the other location on the same road. The new meeting place was named the Honor Oak Christian Fellowship Center and began an influential global ministry both orally and literally. They published a free periodical called A Witness and A Testimony and Brother Sparks was the editor. Most of the messages in this newspaper were written by Brother Sparks. Some messages written by his co-workers or other Christian workers.

Hoseah Wu also shared about the influence of T Austin-Sparks’ ministry to the Saints in the US and how he was invited to speak at conferences in the US in the 1960s. Co-workers with Brother Sparks at these conferences include Stephen Kaung and DeVern Fromke. There are many messages from T Austin Sparks, including those delivered in the US, available for free download on the Christian Testimony Ministry website. There is a website dedicated to Sparks. There are numerous literal and audio resources about him on this website.

From Brother Bakht Singh’s biography, Bakht Singh of India, we know that Brother Sparks’ ministry also helped Bakht Singh a lot, especially in the revelation about the church. Among Bakht Singh’s co-workers, some of them were sent by Honor Oak Christian Fellowship Centre, including Fred Flack and Raymond Golsworthy.
